§ 20b SGB V · § 3 Nr. 34 EStG

Workplace health promotion

Health promotion works when it addresses the strains in the company. We derive the measures from the risk assessment, check-up results and absence patterns, and then review whether they have changed anything.

Scope of service

Needs analysis

We identify the actual strains, such as back problems, shift work, stress, noise or lack of exercise.

Measures

These include exercise training, stress management, back care, nutrition courses and smoking cessation.

Funding and tax relief

Health insurers can contribute to prevention services (section 20b SGB V). Independently of this, health promotion benefits of up to 600 euros per employee per year are tax-free (section 3 no. 34 EStG); your tax adviser can clarify the details.

Measuring results

We compare participation rates, feedback and absences before and after the measure.

How it works

01

Analysis

We evaluate existing data and carry out a short needs survey.

02

Programme

We select the measures and plan them with dates and responsible persons.

03

Implementation

The measures run in the company, partly with external providers.

04

Evaluation

The report recommends which measures to continue and which to end.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

The most common questions about this service, answered briefly. Anything else we can clarify in conversation.

All questions by topic →

What will the health insurer pay for?

Many statutory health insurers subsidise prevention courses and workplace advice. We check which measures qualify for funding.

Is health promotion worthwhile for small companies too?

Yes. In small companies, a few targeted measures often have a more visible effect than a comprehensive programme.
